The hotel rooms were a bit tired and in need of some improvement, which should reflect in the pricing. Despite feeling stuffy, the rooms did have a fan. The service was outstanding, with very polite and attentive staff. The location was convenient, being on the seafront and close to all amenities. The dining experience was good overall, with improvements noted in breakfast quality.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The rooms were perfect, equipped with everything we could need, including a tiny robe and a rubber duck for our son. The extra easy chair in the bedroom was a nice touch. However, the room wasn't ready upon my arrival, and it was pretty cold initially.

Rooms

The rooms were everything we could need, and the additional amenities for the son were adorable.
Service

The service was fantastic, from the doorman to the reception staff and Barbara, the customer relations lady. They were helpful, professional, and ready to cater to every whim with a smile.
Location

The location is amazing, right at the sea and close to many great attractions. However, the busy atmosphere and the obstructed view by a large viewing wheel affected the overall experience.
Dining

The food quality was excellent, but served on cold plates and encountered issues with availability during breakfast service.

The Grand in Eastbourne exceeded my expectations in various aspects. The rooms, compared to other five-star chain hotels worldwide, were more than satisfactory for a one-night stay, being well furnished, quiet, and equipped with all necessary amenities. However, the internal view across lower floor roofs with debris and deceased pigeons was off-putting.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were perfectly good for a night, well-furnished, and quiet, with all the amenities one should need.
Service
9.0
The service, from the moment we arrived until check-out, was friendly, professional, and very helpful with any requests. The only downside was the notably expensive prices for alcohol and even coffee at the hotel.
Location
10.0
The location of The Grand couldn't be better, being by the sea with fabulous views and within walking distance of all amenities. The proximity to the beach, pier, theatres, and shops makes it an excellent choice.
Dining
9.0
Dining was a delightful experience, especially in the Garden, with a good selection of tasty dishes. The buffet style allowed for a variety of options, and personalized orders like the poached or fried eggs were a nice touch.
Facilities

Celebrated my elderly parents' 60th wedding anniversary in this lovely hotel. The rooms were wonderful, spacious, and a great value, but there was some noise. The service was attentive and cosmopolitan, with excellent bar food. The location was superb on the seafront, although a bit crowded at times. The dining experience was generally good, although service was a tad slow. A buffet was well presented. The facilities were satisfying overall.

Rooms

The rooms were wonderful, and so lovely for my elderly parents who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were available with a balcony and terrace, and gorgeous, one of the largest I think we have ever had for the money, so a real value.
Service
9.0
The service was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The staff were pleasant, lovely, and cosmopolitan at the bar, with no detail left to chance.
Location
9.0
The location was very good on the seafront within walking distance of all amenities. Just the best, on the front, a short stroll to town, a slightly longer stroll to the coast, the cliffs, and Beachy Head.
Dining
7.0
The dining was generally good; the main dining room had an excellent buffet. Although the service was a bit slow, everything you could want was well presented.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were satisfying overall, with excellent bar food and sweet biscuits.
